Mocha Creme Caramel Pudding - The Easy Way! :D

When it comes to cooking, sometimes it's good to have a few tricks up your sleeve to make regular boring old desserts from a box look and taste super extra special.

I usually make my Creme Caramel from the box

Well here's a different version of it that I came up with to add a different flavour to it!

When boiling the milk (as per the carton instructions) add a stick of cinnamon and a couple of cardamom pods. Also separately in a cup, mix 2 tsp of granulated mocha coffee beans or regular instant coffee with a tablespoon of warm milk. Once the milk reaches near boiling point, add the coffee and stir it in, then add the pudding powder that comes in the box. Let these boil for a few minutes so that the coffee flavour is infused into the pudding. And then pour into the caramel coated moulds as you would usually do. Make sure you discard the cinnamon stick and cardamom pods first though! Serve chilled! :))

And voila! A fantastic mocha flavoured creme caramel that is to DIE for!! If you want a stronger coffee flavour, prepare this the day before you plan to serve...the coffee flavour develops more with the extra time! ♥

TIP: I prefer using GREEN's Carmelle for this dessert but you can use whichever is available to you. Here's a sample of the carton:
